First look: Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers odds and lines

The Denver Broncos (7-8) will take on the Los Angeles Chargers (8-7) on the road Sunday in a Week 17 AFC West showdown. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium. Below, we look at the Broncos vs. Chargers odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

The Broncos lost their second straight game, falling 17-13 to the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday. They only gained 158 yards of offense with QB Drew Lock getting the start. The defense forced three Raiders turnovers, but it allowed 160 rushing yards as Denver fell to 1-3 in the division.

The Chargers also lost their second consecutive game, suffering a 41-29 defeat to the Houston Texans Sunday. They allowed Los Angeles QB Davis Mills to throw 2 touchdowns and RB Rex Burkhead to rush for 149 yards and 2 TDs. It was the second straight week and fifth time this season they allowed over 400 yards to their opponent.

Broncos at Chargers head-to-head

This AFC West rivalry dates back to 1960. They have played each other twice a year since and once in the playoffs. The Broncos lead the all-time series 70-53-1, including a 28-13 victory this season in Week 12.

In that matchup, Denver QB Teddy Bridgewater threw a touchdown pass and rushed for another, while the defense picked off Los Angeles QB Justin Herbert twice, returning one for a touchdown.

Herbert is 1-2 in three career starts against the Broncos with 6 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions.
