The Dallas Mavericks (16-17) face the Sacramento Kings (14-21) Wednesday night for the first of two games in three days against them on the road. Tip-off for Wednesday's game is at 10:30 p.m. ET at Golden 1 Center. Below, we look at the Mavericks vs. Kings odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Mavericks split the first two games of their five-game road trip, most recently beating the Portland Trail Blazers 132-117 Monday night. But they have lost four of their last six games and are missing G Luka Doncic.

The Kings are on the fourth game of their homestand and picked up a 117-111 win Tuesday night over the Oklahoma City Thunder. It ended a three-game losing streak. G Tyrese Haliburton had 24 points and 10 assists, and G Buddy Hield added 21 points in the win.

Before the Mavs' win on Monday, their previous two victories were followed up by two losses. They are 2-4 in their last six games.

But the Kings have only three wins in their last 10 games. The Mavericks won their first matchup 105-99 Oct. 31.

Take the MAVERICKS (-140).

Against the spread

The Kings have not covered the spread in any loss since Nov. 2. Over that span, every win has been a cover and every loss has not.

The Mavericks have covered the spread in six of their last eight games despite only being 16-17 ATS overall. They are 8-7 ATS when favored.

Since I expect a Dallas win straight up and the spread is so small, you have to take the same team to cover or you are predicting a one-point win.

Take the MAVERICKS -2.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Four of the last five games for Dallas have gone Over the projected total. However, they have the third-lowest Over percentage in the league at 38.7%.

Seven of the last 11 for the Kings have hit the Over but prior to their win Tuesday night, they had averaged only 96.3 points in their previous three games.

Dallas allows the sixth-fewest points in the league.
