Lego is launching a Space Shuttle Discovery set with more than 2,300 pieces

The toymaker announced Monday it will launch a NASA Space Shuttle Discovery set on April 1. The 2,354-piece set commemorates the 40th anniversary since the space shuttle's first flight.
The Lego set will include both a Discovery orbiter with functional landing gear, payload bay doors, elevons and rudder, as well as the Hubble Telescope, which owners can fold and keep within the payload bay.
Users can also display the telescope separately with its solar array expanded. The set is priced at $199.99.
The set will be available to purchase on Lego's website and at Lego retail stores, the company said.

The toy company is working with former astronaut Dr. Kathy Sullivan to promote the launch of the shuttle set. Sullivan was a member of the team on the NASA mission to launch Hubble more than 30 years ago.
"Looking at the model, it was great to reminisce about my experiences in space launching the telescope for the first time," Sullivan said in a statement. "Hubble is definitely the highlight of my career."
