Obama's day: Back to Ohio

USATODAY
President Obama

Good morning from The Oval, as President Obama visits a familiar place: Ohio.

Wrapping up two days of fundraising in California, Obama flies Tuesday to Columbus for an event at Ohio State University.

"The president will discuss the choice facing voters in this election: moving forward with an economy that's built to last or going back to the same failed top-down economic policies that crashed our economy and punished the middle class," says the Obama campaign.

Obama will also urge Ohio residents to register to vote -- the deadline for the election is Tuesday.

The president, still suffering from a lackluster debate performance against Mitt Romney last week, may need all the votes he can get: A new Pew poll gives Romney a 4-point lead, writes USA TODAY's Catalina Camia.
