We figure President Obama has been getting lots of advice since last week's poorly reviewed debate performance.
Monday night, he said so himself.
"Listen, after the debate, I had a bunch of folks come to me," Obama told donors in San Francisco, adding that they told him: 'Don't be so polite, don't be so nice."
Obama and aides say Romney's success — he won all the post-debate poll — had to do more with theatrical performance than policy substance, and they pledge to rectify that in the next two debates.
Said Obama in San Francisco: "But I want everybody to understand something -- what was being presented wasn't leadership -- that's salesmanship."
Obama heads back to debate camp this weekend -- his next contest with Romney is a week from Tuesday at Hofstra University in New York.
