Obama's day: Virginia, debate camp

David Jackson
President Obama

President Obama makes a stop in Virginia today before heading into his third and final debate camp.

For the second time in two weeks, Obama will headline a rally at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., seeking votes in this pivotal state as he tries to fight off Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Obama's emphasis will again be women's issues, says the campaign: "The president will discuss the clear choice facing women in this election and his commitment to strengthening economic security for women and their families and giving women more control over their personal health care decisions."

Polls show a tight race in Virginia between Obama and Romney.

This afternoon, Obama heads to Camp David for a weekend of practice and preparation heading into Monday's third and final debate with Romney.

The topic: global affairs.

During a charity dinner last night in New York City, Obama made a telling joke about this last clash with Romney.

"Monday's debate is a little different because the topic is foreign policy," Obama said. "Spoiler alert -- we got bin Laden."
