President Obama, who has been on storm duty this week, plans to resume campaigning on Thursday, senior adviser David Axelrod said on MSNBC's Morning Joe.

Obama will make stops in the swing states of Wisconsin, Nevada and Colorado.

On Wednesday, the president will tour storm damage in New Jersey with Republican Gov. Chris Christie.

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will campaign full time Wednesday in Florida.

From the Associated Press:

"Campaign officials say the president will make stops in Green Bay, Wis., Las Vegas and Boulder, Colo.

"The president's last campaign event was last Saturday in New Hampshire. He flew to Orlando on Sunday to attend a campaign rally on Monday with former president Bill Clinton but scrapped his campaign plans to return to Washington to monitor preparations for superstorm Sandy."
