MADISON, Wis. — Bruce Springsteen is feeling good about President Obama again.

"That first debate really freaked me out," Springsteen told supporters at a rally in downtown Madison.

Springsteen, who did an OK Obama impression of Obama's voice — 'Bbbbrruuuce .... Bbbruuccee" — joked that the president keeps calling up and singing to him.

At first, it was a rendition of Al Green's Let Stay Together, Springsteen said – but after that ill-fated first debate against Republican challenger Mitt Romney, it turned into the Rolling Stones' I Can't Get No Satisfaction.

"After the second debate," Springsteen said, "I got a nice version of I'm Sexy and I Know It.

Springsteen, who sang such favorites as No Surrender and The Promised Land, told the crowd has his own special reason for helping Obama get re-elected.

"I think he has musical aspirations," said The Boss about the other boss, the president. "I don't need the competition."
