Cheney: Neither Clinton nor Paul will be president

David Jackson
USA TODAY
Former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Dick Cheney says he doesn't have to decide whether he prefers the foreign policy of Hillary Clinton or Rand Paul.

"I don't think either one of them's going to be president," Cheney said Sunday on NBC's Meet The Press.

The former Republican vice president has said that Clinton, the first secretary of state for President Obama, has exhibited a weak foreign policy.

Cheney has also criticized Paul, a likely Republican presidential candidate in 2016, for what the ex-vice president calls an isolationist foreign policy.

Asked on NBC whether he is "more comfortable" with the foreign policy of Clinton or Paul, Cheney said simply that he's comfortable with his own views.

"And frankly," he added, "I don't support either Hillary Clinton or Rand Paul."
