Michelle Obama does a Christmas throwback via Instagram

First lady Michelle Obama promoted the idea of Christmases past this week.

On her Instagram account, Mrs. Obama posted a holiday photo of her and President Obama that looks to be around 20 years old.

"Merry Christmas!" said the message.

Notes ABC News:

"Though she is not wearing a ring, Barack's wedding band is visible, so the photo was likely taken after their October 1992 wedding.

"While Michelle looks strikingly similar to her present self, a no-gray Barack looks much younger than the commander-in-chief we know today."
