Tips and tidbits

Sacramento International Airport has two pet relief areas, a landscaped outdoor greenspace, and an extensive public art collection. In the Terminal A baggage claim, a popular sculpture titled Samson is made out of piles of recycled luggage. Central Terminal B's 14-piece, $8 million art collection includes a giant red rabbit 56 feet long and 19 feet tall and a giant horn that transforms words into music.

Nearby layover option

The Crocker Art Museum is in downtown Sacramento. Old Town Sacramento is home to the California State Railroad Museum. Both are about 12 miles from the airport. Travel time: 20 minutes.
