Wednesday's forecast: Showers for East Coast

A cold front will trigger showers along the East Coast Wednesday while mild weather continues across most of the rest of the nation.

East: Periods of light rain are likely from North Carolina to New England Wednesday as a cold front moves off the East Coast.

Gulf Coast: Another wet day is forecast for much of the Gulf Coast from Texas to the Florida Panhandle.

West: Rain is likely across parts of western Washington and Oregon. The rest of the western half of the nation will be mild and dry with high temperatures mainly in the 60s and 70s.
