Hurricane Ian approaches South Carolina as authorities issue weather warnings
<p>Hurricane Ian was <a href="https://twitter.com/NHC_Atlantic/status/1575868322431655936" target="_blank">expected</a> to make a second landfall on the coastline of the Carolinas on Friday, September 30, after having a devastating impact on Florida.</p><p>The National Hurricane Center <a href="https://twitter.com/NHC_Atlantic/status/1575868322431655936" target="_blank">said</a> Ian was “accelerating toward” the South Carolina coast and warned of life-threatening storm surge and hurricane-force winds.</p><p>The National Weather Service <a href="https://twitter.com/NWSWilmingtonNC/status/1575815528416878592" target="_blank">forecast</a> surge inundation of up to seven feet along parts of the South Carolina coast and <a href="https://twitter.com/NWSCharlestonSC/status/1575849125593038848" target="_blank">issued</a> a flash flood warning in Isle of Palms, South Carolina.</p><p>Footage from Isle of Palms Police Department shows the rough sea conditions.
