A great man, John J. Ray of Marcy, went to dance with his one & only love, Jane Ray, in Heaven on July 11, 2024.

John had no regrets and lived life to the fullest. He found his second home with Davidson’s Chevrolet as a sales manager for many years. He was kind, patient, honest, full of life, wise, funny, unforgettable, & a true friend to all he knew.

He was a great dad to Mike (Maureen) Ray and Donna Ray (Dan) DellAnno; a loving grandpa to Samantha DellAnno (Nicholas) Hula, Dillon (Megan) Ray, Kayliegh (Matthew) Caruso, and Jonathan DellAnno; the best papa ever to Josie, Philly, & Hannah Caruso, and Zac & Zayne DellAnno (his Sunday drawing partners); and a loving brother to Patricia Nassif & Glen (Paula) Ray. His brother-in-law, Richard (Sue) Mlynarczyk, was his rock. His nephew Kevin Marshall & his neighbor Jesse Potter were his good buddies.

He loved all of his family & all of his amazing neighbors. He cherished every friendship he had & loved everyone in his 83 years of life.

“Life is short: be happy, don’t fight, say I Love You & plant cedar trees.”

Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 4-7PM, with a funeral to follow, at the Wolanin Funeral Home, 266 Main Street, New York Mills.
