Last Tuesday, Prince Harry upended decades of royal narrative and cleaned out a few palace closets when he released his long-awaited memoir, Spare. It immediately broke sales records across the world and transfixed the media with revelations about his relationship with Prince William, his drug use and struggles with anxiety, and his pointed distaste for the British press. It was accompanied by a media tour during which Harry sat for some of the most pointed—and humorous—interviews of his time in the public eye. Naturally, it left people wondering, what can Harry and Meghan Markle possibly do next?

After taking a few days to savor the surprising book, DYNASTY: The Windsors cohosts Katie Nicholl and Erin Vanderhoof sat down to cover some of the book’s controversies, praise its literary chops, and debate whether Harry might come to regret making the disclosures that create such a shocking read. Nicholl expanded on her behind-the-scenes reporting about how William, King Charles III, and Queen Consort Camilla have all dealt with the fallout. Officially, the palace is keeping mum, but already the disclosures from insiders have made it clear that Harry’s hoped-for family reunion might be impossible.

Finally, the episode returns to the question that animated DYNASTY from the very beginning: Can the crown survive the changes brought on by a new century? The Windsors have always known how to be ruthless to save the institution, but what if the impulse to protect the heir at all costs fails when the spare has his own star power?
