Julio Foolio‘s family and friends seemingly sent off the late rapper the way he would have wanted—dissing his rival, Yungeen Ace.
On Sunday (July 7), a viral video of a woman, who allegedly is Foolio’s girlfriend, turning up at the service made its way online. The woman, along with other funeral-goers, could be seen passionately rapping Julio’s Yungeen Ace diss, “When I See You,” spitting, “Went out to eat on his birthday/Four shot, three dead in the worst way /He kept dissin’ on me /Now we smokin’ 23.”
Ace, a member of the ATK gang, and Foolio, a part of the Jacksonville gang, KTA, have been feuding since 2017. In 2018, Zion Brown, Foolio’s cousin, was shot and killed, escalating tensions between the respective gangs. It was then found that one of Ace’s associates was responsible for the death and charged with the murder, per The Florida Times Union.

Julio, né Charles Jones, and his associates then retaliated against Ace and his crew, shooting up a Town Center restaurant. Ace, real name Kenyatta Bullard, was shot eight times in the violent act and survived. However, three other members, Ace’s brother Tre’von Bullard, 18, Royale D’Von Smith Jr., 18, and Jercoby Da’Shad Groover, 19, all perished from the shooting.
This then led Ace to drop the song, “Who I Smoke,” in 2021, calling out Jones’ associates who his gang killed. Julio Foolio would respond back with “When I See You,” where he mocks the three boys who died in the Town Center drive-by.
The beef culminated on Monday (June 24), with Julio Foolio being shot and killed while the rapper was celebrating his 26th birthday in Tampa.
Lewis Fusco, the rising rapper’s attorney, stated that the artist was “ambushed” in the parking lot, resulting in his untimely demise. “Mr. Jones had been in Tampa to celebrate his birthday over the weekend,” Fusco said in a statement. “Law enforcement reports indicate that he initially stayed at an Airbnb but was asked to leave due to exceeding occupancy limits. He subsequently relocated to the Holiday Inn, where he was involved in an incident in the hotel parking lot and reportedly ambushed.”
