The total solar eclipse that was visible from parts of Mexico, the United States, and Canada on Monday was a genuinely bonding and moving human experience…or, I assume it was, anyway, as I was on a flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta and missed the entire thing. Yes, I’m sad I didn’t see it, and yes, I’m bummed I didn’t get to cop those chic Warby Parker eclipse-viewing spectacles—but at least I got to live vicariously through Online. (It’s not as good as witnessing the advent of the “super new moon,” sure, but at least it’s something?)
