[Cate Holstein] I am Cate Holstein.

I'm the founder and creative director of Khaite.

When women wear Khaite clothing,

there's a feeling of exhilaration

that we're always striving for,

and that is absolutely how one feels

when they get into Porsche.

Functionality and design.

That perfect balance is what makes Porsche so iconic.

Slick, strength, confidence, perseverance.

The design process for Khaite is truly emotional.

It's ever evolving thing,

there's no starting point or ending point.

We agonize over the fit, the construction.

Cashmere, leather, things that feel very durable,

things that feel very meaty.

The hardware has to feel weighted.

The beautiful machinery, the technology.

I don't ever wanna go too far into an aesthetic direction

where you're not realizing that what we're doing here

is an actual function.

Women need to feel comfortable in order to feel confident.

We really wanted to create a brand

where it really is for functionality as well as beauty,

and I find that that's also what Porsche does

better than anybody else.

When I think of Porsche, I think of exhilaration,

I think of iconic design, I think of the finest materials.

People are attracted to the familiar,

and that nostalgia brings up all of the emotions

that we are trying to invoke in somebody.

That's really what I can always rely on

to make sure the brand evolves.
