Ahh! Now here is some casting news: Brett Butler, formerly the star of 1993-1998’s Grace Under Fire before substance abuse problems landed her in a homeless shelter, will have a recurring role on Charlie Sheen’s new FX sitcom Anger Management, her first substantial TV role since Grace was canceled.  The real doozy here is that Grace Under Fire, like Sheen’s Two and a Half Men, was created by none other than Chuck Lorre, who also fought publicly with Butler, to the point that he eventually stopped working on Grace to go make Cybill. In the new series, in which Sheen will play a therapist with anger issues, Brett will recur as a bartender named … Brett, presumably giving her as much of an opportunity to riff on her troubled public persona as Sheen’s character will on his. We are now expecting Anger to contain a scene in which, over beers, Brett and Charlie talk tremendous amounts of shit about a boss they had named, uh, Buck, only to be joined by guest stars and fellow Buck-haters Cybill Shepherd and Roseanne.
