Regardless of what the critics think of it, Godzilla crushed the box office with a cool $93 million opening this weekend. The movie also pushed former first place-holders Neighbors and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 down one notch each. Though the Seth Rogen–Zac Efron comedy fell to number two with a $25.9 million weekend haul, it did manage to get its two-week total up to $91.5 million. As for the Spider-Man sequel, three weeks in theaters have landed it in third place with domestic earnings of $172 million, though only $17 million of that came from this weekend. Disney’s likable newcomer Million Dollar Arm opened in fourth place with $10.6 million, while America’s affair with The Other Woman (which has reached one month) is petering off. This weekend, it only brought in $6.3 million, but it has a respectable overall domestic take of $71.7 million.
