Radiohead Premieres the Paul Thomas Anderson–Directed ‘Daydreaming,’ Announces Album Release on May 8

The mystery surrounding the rollout of Radiohead’s next album has nearly reached an end: After releasing a new video for “Daydreaming,” the band confirmed that their latest album will drop digitally at 7 p.m. BST (that’s 2 p.m. EST) on May 8. Physical copies will go on sale on June 17. “Daydreaming” is the band’s long-rumored collaboration with director Paul Thomas Anderson, and it comes on the heels of the eerie stop-motion video for “Burn the Witch.” The video follows Thom Yorke on an engimatic tour of Los Angeles, which is haunted with a very Andersonian ennui. You can feel the sun on your skin, the salt in the air, and in a twist, the bite of mountain snow, at the end of the video.
