Every SAG Awards starts with a little roundup of actors explaining how they got into the performing arts. Last year, Geoffrey Owens had his moment of glory after being shamed online for working at Trader Joe’s. This year, Eugene Levy embodied all our dads at Christmas dinner, telling the longest and most meandering story about Mr. Whipple. You know, the Charmin guy? Sure, you know him. Anyway, when Eugene Levy was a boy he wanted more than anything to be the next Mr. Whipple. Unfortunately for Levy, Charmin’s mascots are a bunch of perverted bears. But at least he got to open an awards show with his son.
