Let Ben Affleck clarify something: He has “resting hard face,” not RBF. He noted as much during a recent appearance on his friend Kevin Hart’s Peacock show Hart to Heart. Affleck acknowledged that he’s “a little bit shy,” but added that his disgruntled expression in photos isn’t all his fault. “People always see me and they’re like, ‘Why’s this dude always mad?’” he said. “Because somebody has their camera and they’re sticking it in my face.” But when Hart suggested that Affleck had “resting bitch face,” he disputed that it’s actually “resting hard face.” Affleck continued, “I’ve noticed this, where I’m like, People are projecting something onto me that I don’t feel about myself at all.” Give the man a break!
The face does come in handy, though, especially when he’s dealing with his wife Jennifer Lopez’s fame. He recalled a time when the couple and their children had to walk through Times Square to get somewhere, and “hundreds of people” were screaming for J.Lo. (He’s aware she’s the more famous one.) “The shit was like, fuckin’ bananas,” Affleck said. Hart commiserated: “In that moment, you got to be oblivious to act like it’s all okay.” “Totally,” Affleck replied. “Yeah, that’s why I put my bitch face on.”
And yes, to all you gossips, Affleck does refer to Lopez as his wife here. The interview seems to have been taped before current rumors of Affleck and Lopez’s marriage troubles, since, as TMZ noted, he still has a beard here but doesn’t anymore. Same face as always, though.
