Mystic’s fifth annual Floatswella event kicks off this weekend
MYSTIC, CT (WFSB) - Mystic’s fifth annual Floatswella event kicks off this weekend.
You can bring your own kayak, canoe, paddleboard, or whatever you have to get out on the water.
It originated as a good event during COVID, but it stuck around due to vast success.
This year, a last minute change was made due to the impending weather.
“We’re moving it to Sunday because of the weather on Saturday. 1 to 4 pm. Redline a great reggae band and a DJ with them and it’s a great day to unwind to drop your paddlecraft into the water,” said Bruce Flax, the executive director of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce.
About 100,000 people are expected to participate.
