MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) - Family, friends, students and teachers at White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee, are remembering a beloved student who died at school Monday morning.

Memphis-Shelby County Schools said ninth grader Kingston Davidson died after experiencing a medical emergency while at school.

The school district released a statement on behalf of Kingston’s family that said in part, “They named him Kingston because they wanted him to have a strong name. He played football, loved math and fashion, and was already set on his career path of being an entrepreneur. He had a lawn business where he cut yards for family and friends.”

Kingston’s family said he had a younger sibling.

“To his little sister, he was her favorite math tutor. He also loved to stand in her full-length mirror every morning and ‘check out his fit.’ He will be deeply missed by his classmates, school administrators, and teachers,” the family and Memphis-Shelby County Schools statement said.
