Elizabeth Hulette, known as "Miss Elizabeth" to most, died May 1, 2003.

Hulette, a Kentucky native, was born in Frankfort in 1960. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in communications.

Hulette worked for International Championship Wrestling (ICW) where she met Randall Poffo, also known as "Macho Man" Randy Savage. The two married in 1984.

The couple went from ICW to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1985. Miss Elizabeth worked as Macho Man's manager. Elizabeth was a central part of many storylines. Some notable feuds were George "The Animal" Steele falling in love with her, Honky Tonk Man's claim Elizabeth secretly wanted him over Savage, managing Hulk Hogan and Savage as the Mega Powers and even an on-screen wedding taking place years after their actual wedding.

Hulette and Poffo divorced in 1992 but continued to work in the world of professional wrestling, even working as a pair for a while in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Hulette was paired with Lex Luger several times in her run with WCW and the two would later develop a romantic relationship.

In April 2003, Lex Luger was arrested and charged with battery, accused of leaving Elizabeth with two black eyes. May 1, Luger called 911 and said Hulette slipped into unconsciousness while the couple had dinner together. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Hulette's cause of death was determined to be "acute toxicity" from a mix of prescription drugs and alcohol. She was 42.
