I had such a phenomenal time at the Rad Radish community event. This is the more casual-leaning sister restaurant to Wildseed, one of my favorite plant-based brunches in the bay! They specialize more in handhelds like burgers and sandwiches.
There are three ways to order: at the counter, using the digital touchscreen kiosks, or just straight from the comfort of your table using a QR code. Either way you take a number and the food is brought out to you by friendly staff members.
The decor is modern, green, and beautiful, with spacious indoor seating! There were plenty of tables when we stopped by.
I tried the fried chicken sandwich which was SO tasty. And that's coming from someone who isn't--don't come at me--typically a fan of fried chicken. The vegan patty was perfectly crispy without being greasy or too heavy. The slaw wasn't mayo-based, which is usually my critique when it comes to chicken sandwiches. Instead it was zesty, flavorful, and refreshing! I also loved the housemade pickle it came it: crunchy but not overly salty. Next time I will for sure order an extra pickle.
My bf, who actually is vegetarian, got a veggie burger. The housemade patty was a nice touch but I liked the chicken better. A pleasant surprise! We also got the mango probiotic soda to share. It was super fruity and not too sweet! If I'm going to indulge in soda, that's how I like it.
Thank you to Yelp and Rad Radish for hosting this event! We will be back soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 727203493Aug 5, 20241 check-in
Thought the space is very nice in Hayes and was a pleasant surprise as a vegan spot! The chicken sandwich was flavorful, though pretty small and not that filling. For the same kind of price at a fast casual counter-order restaurant I would think a side would come with it (like fries).
Nice spot to hang out with some friends overall thoughHelpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 6632391256Aug 3, 20241 check-in
This was such a lovely treat! I had been to Rad Radish a few times before when they first opened, but it's been a while since my last visit so I was excited for this event.
I really love their faux chicken sandwiches, especially the spicy version with a huge serving of crispy slaw. I also tried the chocolate ganache with berries this time, which was so decedent and delicious. It was definitely the best dessert I've had recently.
In addition to the great meal, the Yelp swag for this event was such a nice touch. My new herb plant is already sprouting. Thank you to everyone involved in putting this together, and thank you for opening it up to community members as well!Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - 6463771155Aug 2, 20241 check-in
Huge, clean restaurant with tons of seating! Parking on Saturday morning was super easy, as there were a few open metered spots along the block.
Firstly, the Yelp freebie was quite possibly the best one so far--the DIY herb potted plant was the perfect activity for my kindergartner while eating at Rad Radish, and will doubly serve as useful seasoning on rare home-cooked meals.
The vegan food was really tasty, and if I didn't know ahead of time, I wouldn't even guess that it was vegan! The complimentary breakfast sandwich was super tasty (I added avo and beyond sausage patty, as recommended by the trusty Cherylynn N.), and I'd definitely reorder in the future. It was a tad on the soft side--the brioche bun could've been a touch more toasted--but overall super flavorful and tender. We also purchased the coconut chia pudding which is nicely creamy and topped berries and fantastic coconut cream ($6), and French toast ($13) sans cream for my picky daughter; both were great and we'd order again.
Thank you, Rad Radish + Yelp (Dominic) for this great event. Love being introduced to new restaurants--especially healthier ones that I wouldn't necessarily visit on my own!Helpful 20Thanks 6Love this 23Oh no 0 - Jul 27, 20241 check-in
What a rad event at Rad Radish! For the past year, a former plant based colleague had recommended I try Rad Radish, so I'm appreciative of CM Dominic and Rad Radish for this fabulous event!
Yelp Elites had the pleasure of enjoying either a Breakfast Sandwich and Drip Coffee or Chicken Sandwich and Prosecco or Probiotic Soda. After a busy and labor intensive work day in the city, coming here for a "Chicken Sandwich" sounded fab. The "Chicken Sandwich" didn't even taste plant based; it truly tasted like chicken. It was juicy, flavorful, and wonderfully crispy. The seasoning and sauce was on point.
The restaurant is quite big and reminiscent of a cafeteria. Open space and indoor seating, casual dining outside, and a new American bistro vibe catered towards the city. Ordering is done either through the QR code or at the register. Service by all is efficient and kind.
As a fan of plant based food, I know I'll come back in the future with friends to try their other offerings thanks to this Yelp Event! Grateful for Rad Radish and CM Dominic for hosting this!Helpful 35Thanks 14Love this 35Oh no 0 - Jul 28, 20241 check-in
I want to first say thank you to the CM Dominic and Rad Radish team for this event! And the plant kit is so cute!
The place is spacious with lots of natural light making it a perfect brunch spot. They have outdoor seating, for those who want to enjoy the sun or breeze.
We get a complimentary "chicken" burger and a drink either prosecco or probiotic soda.
I opted for the blueberry soda but wanted to get the ginger but it was too late to change. As for the fries, it was ok taste like your typical fries, didn't really wow me. but The sandwich was yummy since I can't have chicken anyway. I was kind of shocked that it was crispy and you wouldn't even know it's vegan! ok maybe for some but I enjoyed it with their ketchup. Out of the 3 sauces that came with the fries this would be my fave. It has that unique taste from your normal ketchup, I cannot pinpoint what. The minty white sauce didn't really taste anything in particular to me. It did sort of have that greasy taste like they added way too much oil.
One thing that I was kind of ehh about is, the straw! it's so long for this tiny cup otherwise everything was good.
l will definitely come back to dine in and try other dishes in the menu. Everything just looks so delish!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 28, 20241 check-in
What a delicious treat to end my day! I decided to stop by on my way home from work and pick up my "chicken" sandwich and probiotic soda. I was surprised by how big the restaurant was and there wasn't a line when I arrived. I only had to wait about 10 min or so before my order was ready. While I was waiting, I was admiring the decor and how great it would be to get some work done here. I decided to take it to-go, and while I was on Bart, some of the drink spilled in the bag. I think it might be a user error but also the lids can be a little more secure especially when both hands aren't available to hold multiple things at once.
The sandwich tasted like a real chicken sandwich. It was very tender and juicy. I especially enjoyed the veggies that were inside. The mango soda was also very refreshing and loved the carbonation.
I am not a vegan/vegetarian but am always down to have it since I don't always like eating meat. Would definitely be back here to try other items on their menu! Thank you Dominic and Rad Radish for such an awesome pick up event!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 25, 20241 check-in
I tried the "chicken" burger and it was delicious! The ginger probiotic drink was yummy as well. Goes well with the burger. When you walk in , you go straight to the counter and check in with the QR code. And the server will help you and place the order for you. Then you get a table number and sit anywhere you want! The space was spacious with lots of seating area. I like the decorations, it reminds me of a hippie/Coachella vibe ! The servers were friendly here as well!
For the "chicken" burger, the bun was toasted crispy and warm! I devour it in minutes , you can't really tell the difference from a real chicken patty. The sauce was good touch and the pickles go well with the burger. I will definitely come back when Im craving vegetarian food.
I left the place very satisfied and full! Thank you Yelp for hosting!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 305191360Jul 27, 20241 check-in
I've always wanted to try Rad Radish whenever I walked by. I love the interior design, the sculptures and lighting fixtures throughout the restaurant. The "chicken" sandwich was similar to regular chicken and flavorful. I love that it's enough to fill me up without making me feel heavy or bloated. To be able to end my meal with a probiotic soda was the perfect touch so that I can make sure my gut has enough healthy bacteria to digest it.
Thank you Yelp for organizing this wonderful event so that I can incorporate more vegetables into my diet and hopefully bring more friends to do the same!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 5259247123Jul 24, 20241 check-in
Came in on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. Ordered the "chicken" burger and a pomegranate probiotic soda at the counter. They give you a number and then bring out the food to your table. Beautiful dining area with various hanging plants. The burger arrived first, 7 minutes after ordering then shortly after the drink arrived. Quick service. The staff that brought out the food was friendly and smiling. Can't say the same about the male staff that was at the cashier. When I asked what "wildseed" fries were he replied "it's just how it sounds" (I didn't know it was a name of another restaurant, thought it was a type of potato) and it came off a bit rude to me.
The "chicken" burger was tasty. The bun was perfectly toasted and there was enough moisture from the sauce and pickles that the "chicken" was not dry. It amazes me what you can do with tofu. I could see myself ordering this again and trying other plant based items from their menu.
The probiotic drink was refreshing. I didn't taste the pomegranate though but I still liked it. It reminds me of kombucha. I tried the blueberry mint probiotic soda as well and didn't like it. It tasted like mouthwash, toothpaste and gum.
Thank you Rad Radish and C.M. Dominic for this opportunity to try a new restaurant! It's near my work and I'll be sure to let my fellow coworkers know about them.Helpful 10Thanks 4Love this 6Oh no 0
