I use this as my “overnight” bag for work. I carry it almost every day. It’s made very well like everything else from Herschel. This bag gets tossed in and out of the trunk of my car on a near daily basis and it doesn’t have one blemish or tear in it.

As for the space, I am able to keep a replacement uniform as well as day and night outfits for the next day and a cosmetics bag comfortably in the main compartment. If you are going to put shoes or boots in it, then you’ll have space for about 2 complete outfits rather than 3.

The inside mesh pocket is a great place for chargers and a couple bottles of daily medication.
The outside accessed lined pocket will work well for dirty laundry or shoes if you need it to, but obviously it’s going to diminish the available space inside the bag. I don’t use the lined pocket often.

The handles and shoulder straps are well made and sturdy as is the main zipper. I have had this filled to the brim a few times and noticed the strong stitching in the zipper.

I don’t regret this purchase one bit. In my opinion, most other duffle bags are smaller with poorer quality. Any bigger and this bag wouldn’t be so functional and easy to carry. It’s perfect.

This is one of my favorite products - because it is so clearly designed with the customer in mind.

I use it for weekend trips and have used it as my default bag during a career in consulting for Monday-Thursday travel projects. This duffel fits in smaller overhead bins of regional jets that do not fit a rollerboard, which was a key selling point for me when considering it for business travel. The bag itself is sturdy, durable and stylish. One of the best features is the pocket for storing shoes separately. For weekend trips or business trips where I would like to exercise, this pocket allowed me to store my running shoes and workout clothes and socks separately from my dress clothes which were folded neatly inside the body of the duffel.

Overall it's a great bag. I own one myself and have bought one for another family member as a gift when they began a career that involved short business travel.

I love Herschel products. Admittedly, living in a car-based small city I don’t need a backpack often, but my first Herschel purchase was a backpack that I still use…ten years ago. So when I got the itch to do some more shopping in anticipation of some car travel, I immediately looked to Herschel for something that would work well for my small weekend jaunts. I was hoping to find something portable but roomy, and I certainly was not disappointed. I love the shoe space, which is spacious enough for two pairs of shoes…with my travel pair on my feet that means I have three pairs of shoes for any trips I take—more than enough! Being the child of divorce, I’ve mastered the art of packing tightly for the weekend, so I feel comfortable in saying that I can pack four days worth of clothes in this duffel, including cold weather and sleep clothes. That’s why I’m giving it a five star recommendation. I guarantee you’ll be satisfied with this item for years to come.

I like this bag a lot. It never fails to get compliments when I bring it to work everyday (use it as a gym bag) or when I travel with it. Especially like the separate shoe compartment, very handy. My only complaints are that there are no zipper pockets anywhere on the bag, so keeping keys/wallets in there is a bit of a pain because the only actual pocket is on the inside, and even that is just an open-top mesh pocket, meaning the keys and wallet will fall out and tumble around the bag if its ever tipped on its side or upside down. The shoulder strap is also very squeaky. It seems like the plastic clips are just pretty cheap and make a loud squeaking sound while walking (other people have noticed this as well). Maybe mines just defective. Overall recommend this bag though.
