‘A Murder at the End of the World’
FX’s A Murder at the End of the World is the long-awaited follow-up project from The OA creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. The limited series follows author, hacker, and amateur sleuth Darby Hart (Emma Corrin) as she’s invited by a tech billionaire on an exclusive retreat. Joining her on the trip are tech luminaries, as well as Darby’s personal hero, hacker Lee Andersen (Brit Marling). However, two things rattle Darby on the trip’s very first night. One, she is reunited with her long-lost love Bill (Harris Dickinson), and two, she witnesses what she believes to be a murder. A Murder at the End of the World is a smart and stylish remix of the murder mystery genre that’s as interested in the ethics of our modern world as it is with presenting us with a bittersweet love story. It’s a must watch for its hip needledrops, beautiful cinematography, and breakthrough performances. Emma Corrin and Harris Dickinson are downright dazzling in A Murder at the End of the World.
