‘Blazing Saddles’
This week, we lost a film legend — Gene Wilder. In honor of his legacy, it’s time to re-watch one of his most powerful, hilarious, and irreverent comedies, Blazing Saddles. Directed by Mel Brooks and written by some of the greatest comedy minds of the time including Richard Pryor, this Western satire sharply criticizes racism in between its moments of absurdist humor. It’s silly, biting, and a brilliant example of what made Wilder such an iconic actor. Rest in peace.
