‘Bring It On’
Just because it’s about cheerleaders doesn’t mean Bring It On isn’t one of the best sports movies of this century. Few other movies about more macho sports could have supported five sequels and a Broadway musical. The story of rival cheer teams, led by Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union, respectively, on a collision course for Nationals (because all great confrontations happen at Nationals) is a great showcase for an uncommonly smart and compulsively watchable teen comedy. No matter how many times you’ve seen it, it’s always worth another look.
