‘Cheers,’ “Thanksgiving Orphans”
Thanksgiving is all about family, whether it be the family you were born into or the family you chose. In the case of Cheers, the holiday is also about the family you’re stuck with. “Thanksgiving Orphans” taps into the disappointment that goes hand in hand with the holidays, as the regulars all begrudgingly make their way to Carla’s house for football, beer, and eventually turkey. But things don’t go as planned and the makeshift family ends up at odds, armed with fistfuls of potatoes and cranberry sauce in the funniest Thanksgiving dinner showdowns of all time.
