‘Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus’
Born 99 years ago this week, Diane Arbus rose to fame photographing marginalized groups of people. Played by Nicole Kidman, the fictional film follows her down the metaphorical rabbit hole from her time as a housewife to her rise as a photographer. Rounding out Kidman’s phenomenal performance is the unusually serious Ty Burrell as Allan Arbus, who grapples with his beloved wife’s explosion onto the photography scene as well as her relationship with a [SPOILER!] that he perceives as a threat to his marriage.
