‘Generation Drag’

If you love HBO’s emotional and revolutionary drag makeover show We’re Here, then you gotta get into Generation Drag on Discovery+. The docuseries follows a half dozen teens and tweens from across America as they prepare for a big stage show in Colorado called Dragutante. The show is a highly entertaining watch — these kids are performers after all — but it’s an even more important watch. Generation Drag does the vital job of depicting the lives of the next generation of queer artists, performers, and activists and the families that fully support them for who they truly are. Considering that we are living in a hell where conservative lawmakers are trying to ban drag queens instead of guns, Generation Drag feels like the most important show of the moment — and you need to see it.
