‘Housesitter’
Now that we’ve got Goldie Hawn back making movies again, let’s keep her there by supporting the 25th (!) anniversary of her incredibly underrated comedy Housesitter. Directed by Frank Oz (Little Shop of Horrors), it’s the story of a con artist (Hawn) and the architect/lovesick rube she scams/falls for. The movie is pure charm, and Hawn especially is operating at her highest level. They don’t really make mainstream adult comedies they way they did in the early ’90s; this is an excellent throwback to a fine era.
