‘Krisha’
This weekend in movie theaters is the barricaded-in-the-woods horror offering It Comes at Night from writer/director Trey Edward Shults. His previous indie darling — indeed the film that put him on the map — was last year’s Krisha, which wasn’t technically a horror movie, but it sure managed to have a tight grasp on making the audience feel tense and creeping dread throughout a contentious family holiday. Featuring Shults’ real-life aunt Krisha Fairchild giving a dynamite performance in the title role, it’s a must-see.
