If you’re a fan of actor, singer, and comedian Maya Rudolph — and let’s be real, who isn’t? — then Apple TV+’s 2022 comedy Loot will likely become one of your new favorite shows. Rudolph plays Molly Wells, a recently divorced billionaire who’s recovering from the crushing realization that her tech mogul husband John (Adam Scott) cheated on her. Looking to keep herself busy, Molly decides to become more involved with her charity foundation. And though she means well, let’s just say there’s a big learning curve. With help from her hilariously quirky, charming team, Molly sets out on a journey of self discovery and self improvement. She wants to make her ex jealous, sure. But as the season progresses it also seems like she genuinely wants to make positive difference in the world. Loot lets Rudolph shine, features a bangin’ soundtrack, and delivers a Hot Ones parody so funny I can’t think about it without laughing.
