‘My Brother, My Brother and Me’
If you’re looking for advice on how to beef up your resume, the short-lived My Brother, My Brother and Me TV show isn’t for you. As loyal listeners of the comedy podcast of the same name know, the advice of real-life brothers Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy should never be followed. In fact, sometimes they never get around to addressing the user-submitted questions at all. Instead, these charismatic siblings go wherever their riffs and comedic whims take them. Sometimes that’s a takeover of their hometown’s Safety Town, other times it’s an unauthorized spider parade. It’s extremely silly, extremely funny, and pretty much the only thing making me laugh in quarantine. Each individual brother is smart and hilarious in his own right, but what makes the show great is the rapport that comes with a lifetime of brotherhood. Once a Seeso original on NBC’s now-defunct streaming service, you can now catch the series for free with ads on VRV, or you can buy or rent the episodes on demand. I recommend the latter because as soon as you hit play, you’ll be crying laughing. You won’t want to be interrupted.
