‘Pecker’
The 1998 indie film Pecker is one of the more sweet (and yes, accessible) offerings in the John Waters ouvre. A wide-eyed and cheerful exploration of the effects of fame, and the fame-hungry, on art, Pecker stars a wondrous Edward Furlong and an hilarious Christina Ricci and is, like most Waters’ movies, set in Baltimore. Keep an ear out for the soundtrack, composed by Stewart Copeland.
