‘Spiderman: Homecoming’
Looking for some superhero fun this Fourth of July? SpiderMan: Homecoming gives us a break from the more adult, serious Peter Parker of yore, be it Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfied. Here we can appreciate Tom Holland, who we see in all his awkward, nerdy, high school glory, simultaneously working through the responsibilities of becoming a teenager and a full-on Avenger. We are also treated to a dry, comedic, Zendaya, who as the new-fangled MJ, or Michelle, bumps us up to a modern love interest refusing to check the box as doting victim. As the action crescendos, you’ll also be glad to see Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton grounding the film with their full-on movie star cred.
