‘The Jungle Book’ (2016)
Is there anything Jon Favreau can’t do? He resuscitated swing dancing in 1996 with Swingers, he was the creative force behind the best holiday film of the 2000s (Elf), and he sent the modern superhero movement into the stratosphere (literally and figuratively) with Iron Man. Now, in 2016, he went out and made the #1 grossing family movie of the year with his live-action remake of The Jungle Book. Thanks to Netflix’s massive deal with Disney, you can now watch this film (over and over and over again) in the comfort of your own home.
