‘The Lizzie McGuire Movie’

In this feature-length continuation of Disney’s Lizzie McGuire series, Lizzie (Hilary Duff) and her class head to Rome with their future high school principal, Ms. Ungermeyer (this is how an entire generation of kids met Alex Borstein!). At the Trevi Fountain, site of a million future Instagrams, Lizzie is mistaken for an Italian pop star, and she immediately embarks on a journey filled with romance, deception, and one very puffy igloo jacket. More than 15 years later, The Lizzie McGuire movie is still endlessly charming — especially that iconic line: “Sing to me, Paolo.”
