‘Tremors’
There are many ways, of course, to celebrate Kevin Bacon’s 59th birthday, but rather than re-screen one of the prolific actor’s more high profile roles, why not take in Tremors, the 1990 gem that is as fun as horror gets. The premise is simple: the town of Perfection, Nevada counts man-eating, ground-dwelling monsters among its inhabitants, and it’s up to Kevin Bacon to handle it. The film was a surprise hit that spawned a number of sequels as well as a TV series. Joining Bacon in Perfection are Fred Ward as well as a post-Family Ties Michael Gross.
