‘Upload’

Prime Video’s new comedy Upload will invariably be compared to NBC’s The Good Place. Both shows are created by Parks and Rec/The Office alums and both sitcoms are primarily set in the afterlife. While it’s unfair to compare a new series to one of the most ambitious network sitcoms in modern history, the one thing both shows have in common is an abundance of charm. Upload follows the story of Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), a man who’s “uploaded” to a posh afterlife after his untimely (and suspicious) death. While in his own unique version of heaven, Nathan meets Nora (Andy Allo), his customer service “Angel” who soon becomes his best friend. A deft mix of mystery, sci-fi, and romantic comedy, Prime Video’s Upload is an absolute delight.
