‘VFW’
Vitriol between millennials and boomers reached a fever pitch with the “O.K. Boomer” phenomenon, and the new indie horror movie VFW is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this very specific moment in the culture wars. The plot of this film is simple and straightforward: In the very near future, a group of ‘Nam veterans —made up of your favorite B-list action movie icons from the ’70s and ’80s (Stephen Lang, William Sadler, Martin Kove, Fred Williamson, and even George Wendt)— hole up in their local VFW and try to stave off an onslaught of drugged out zoomers and millennials. Blood and guts and general chaos ensues.
