When Will ‘I’m Sorry’ Season 2 Come Out?

We know that most fans of truTV‘s I’m Sorry have been bingeing all 10 episodes of the show’s first season on Netflix to satiate their appetite for the brilliantly sarcastic television series, now that it is available on the streaming platform as of October 1, but that only goes so far. What fans really want to know is when we’re gonna get to see Season 2 of the Andrea Savage-starring show.

The actress’ award-worthy portrayal of a disgruntled modern mother, co-parenting with her television husband Mike (Tom Everett Scott), delivers a level of brutal honesty that is extremely relatable and honestly refreshing. Maybe that’s because it’s partially inspired by her own life. Her hilarious friendship with Jason Mantzoukas‘ character also exudes just the right amount of inappropriateness to keep us coming back for more.

But what the heck is going on with Season 2? If Season 1 premiered in July 2017, why are we still waiting? Will we even get a Season 2 of I’m Sorry?! Let’s find out!

How does I’m Sorry Season 1 end?

In the last episode of Season 1, titled “Off the Charts,” Andrea freaks out about her age and impending infertility and has herself and her husband Mike see a doctor to perform some tests. She also confronts her father about his increasingly irregular behavior (you know, like taking drugs, having an active sex life, and wanting a half-naked picture of his adult daughter hung up in his house).

While most of the episodes have at least a loose connection, there’s no telling what kind of shenanigans Savage will get into in the next season. To hold you over, the comedian recently posted a brief unreleased clip of a behind-the-scenes improv session that her and Mantzoukas had when filming the #dicpic scene. You can check that out below.

Will I’m Sorry get a Season 2?

It certainly should, considering the fact that it was renewed back in August 2017, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The renewal was inspired by the success of Season 1, which had been averaging 454,000 viewers with three days of delayed viewing factored in and seeing 32 percent growth since its premiere.

The half-hour comedy series was ordered to return in 2018.

When will I’m Sorry Season 2 come out?

Although there hasn’t been an official premiere date announced yet, one thing that we do know is that news regarding the new season will arrive between now and the end of 2018. According to Andrea Savage’s latest tweet (above), Season 2 info is coming soon!

UPDATE 11/2/18: The second season of I’m Sorry premieres on Wednesday, January 9 at 10pm ET/PT on truTV.
