Is Mark Cuban a certified Swiftie? While appearing on this morning’s episode of The View, the Shark Tank star appreciated the “hype” surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s relationship — even though he’d rather her date a basketball player from the Dallas Mavericks.

(Editor’s Note: The View is taking a break for Thanksgiving; despite what you may have heard, The View was not canceled today. This article was originally published on October 17, 2023, when this episode first aired. The View will return with new episodes on Monday, November 27.)

Following the Hot Topics segments, Cuban sat down with Sara Haines, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and the rest of his fellow Shark Tank co-stars when he was grilled about Tayvis. According to the businessman, their budding romance is the perfect distraction from the conflicts plaguing today’s world.

“It’s insane, isn’t it? But it’s fun,” he said. “Look, of all the distractions we need, this is a great distraction. [With] all of the things going on in the world and we’re talking about Travis and Taylor? I mean, it’s fun. It’s meaningless — but it’s fun.”

Cuban also doubled down on his previous stance that Swift should break up with Kelce and instead date a player from the Mavericks. After all, he owns the basketball team and the Kansas City Chiefs haven’t lost a game since the duo began seeing each other.

“She should drop Travis and date Maxi [Kleber] or Josh [Green] or Dwight [Powell],” he joked. “I love Travis, but they would blow him away.”

Kelce first caught Swift’s attention after claiming he tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it at her Eras Tour over the summer. However, it wasn’t until last month that she was spotted attending his game, sending the NFL and social media into a frenzy.

Since then, the star has appeared at two more of Kelce’s games — and last weekend, they stepped out holding hands for the first time in New York City. On the same night, they even made surprise cameos on the Saturday Night Live Season 49 premiere.

Sorry, Mark — but it looks like Kelce is the only lover for Swift.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
