One down. I'll probably commit the rest of my #if FLOOD_HAS_OPENSSL
protection just for the heck of it, even though it isn't necessary.
This will keep all flood_net_ssl.h calls out of the flood binary
if we don't want SSL, and would make me feel a little better.

Added a new parameter --enable-ssl. SSL is enabled by default, so if you
don't have the libs you either have to install them or pass --disable-ssl.
Revamp of the --with-openssl arg to work with the new --enable-ssl arg.
It now just adds the paths to the appropriate compiler/linker flags
and moves on. I left in the -R flag for solaris, but I'm wondering if
I forgot a crossplatform way to do this in libtool. Oh well.
If SSL is enabled (ie not explicitly disabled) it must pass a number of
criteria: existence of various headers, ability to link libssl and
libcrypto (either from given env vars or appropriate --with-openssl
parameters), and the openssl version must be at least 0.9.6. This last
requirement may be further raised to 0.9.6b if the rumors of lower
version crashing under higher load is true.

Add HTTP Keep-Alive support (rudimentary, but functional).
This is done by adding two new hooks:
open_req - Opens a socket (send_req used to do this implicitly).
create_req - Constructs the request (used to be part of get_next_url).
The open_req is executed *before* the create_req because we need to know
if we are a keepalive request and only the socket code knows whether we
are keepalive or not. This is a slight performance penalty on non-keepalive
requests because we are creating the request buffer *after* we have opened
the socket. We could do a "create_sock" that does everything but connect
and sets the keepalive flag? I'll discuss this with Aaron on Monday.
We now have a field in the request that specifies if it should be
Keep-Alive or not. Also, the response has a keepalive field to indicate
whether the connection was keptalive. If the connection was not keptalive,
then the socket should be closed at each iteration.

Must use patch as described in the STATUS file to bring
APR threads up to speed for flood.
Fix to enable <usefarmer count="xx"> syntax.
Changes to match the above patch.
Fix to enable creation of a child-pool and clear()ing that pool
after each profile is run. (This should reduce memory requirements
of 'flood' dramatically for long-running tests.)
