Cabin camping is offered year-round at eight of our campgrounds.
Get packing! San Diego County Parks provide a great variety of camping, cabins and RV hook-up sites for all of your outdoor needs. A playground in nature, San Diego County provides a tremendous diversity of natural experiences and diverse terrains. From a pristine desert oasis to boulder-strewn mountain slopes, spectacular lakes beckon adventure, while peaceful mountain forests inspire quiet solitude. All you have to do is bring an adventurous spirit. Ready, set, s’more!

Agua Caliente County Park
| A very popular park during the winter, this desert oasis is known for its beauty and solitude, and for the soothing mineral waters in its two naturally fed pools. Agua Caliente offers seven camping cabins with climate control, a table and seating for four, two queen bed frames (mattress/bedding not included), a sink, a bathroom and a table fire ring outdoors. |
| Dos Picos County Park | Sheltered by steep, boulder-strewn mountain slopes, this park is designed to highlight the ancient oak groves that make your stay here memorable. Dos Picos offers six ADA-accessible cabins. Each 200-square foot cabin is heated (no A/C), has 110v electrical receptacles, one double bed and three bunk beds (mattresses/bedding not included), a table and chairs, a bathroom (toilet and sink only, coin-operated showers located nearby) and a front porch. Outside are a table, BBQ and fire ring. No tents/RVs allowed at cabins due to limited space. |
| Guajome Regional Park | Only minutes away from the Pacific Ocean, Guajome Regional Park is known both for its rich natural habitats (including a small but beautiful lake) and its historic Rancho Guajome Adobe. Guajome Regional Park has one cabin with a double bed, two fold-out sleeping cots, a full kitchen, a table and chairs, a bathroom, and a porch (mattress/bedding not included). Fire rings and picnic tables are located outside. |
| Lake Morena County Park | The spectacular lake is a magnet for anglers, yet the 3250 acres of this East County park offer something for every outdoor enthusiast, from hikers to picnickers to just plain campers. Lake Morena has 10 156-square foot cabins with a spectacular lakeside view. Each cabin offers 2 twin size (1 bunk bed) and 1 double bed (mattresses/bedding not included). Fire rings and picnic tables are located outside. Restrooms are located a short distance from the cabin. |
| Oakoasis County Park | An overnight campsite is available to youth groups only. The site includes a covered picnic pavilion, restrooms, tent camping, an amphitheater with center firepit, beautiful views, and an optional cabin that is available for an additional charge. |
| Potrero County Park | Quiet solitude describes this park, but it's also near some adventurous places, such as historic Campo and the colorful Mexican town of Tecate. There are two cabins at Potrero each with wooden bed frames, tables and moderate climate control. A deck, picnic table and fire ring are available outside. |
| Sweetwater Summit County Park | This park specializes in accommodating equestrians, but all of those who love the outdoors will enjoy their stay in this park, which is also close to major attractions such as golf courses, the San Diego Zoo, and Tijuana. |
| Tijuana River Valley Regional Park | Set below Spooner’s Mesa – roughly a mile south of the Tijuana River and east of the Pacific Ocean – this unique 79-acre campground offers breathtaking views of the valley, with connections to over 20 miles of trails enjoyed by hikers, bikers and equestrians. It contains a nature education center, 51 primitive campsites and is also the first County campground to offer yurts – covered camping spaces with doors, windows, bed frames and room for six to 10 people. |
| Vallecito County Park | The reconstructed sod Butterfield Stage Station is at the heart of this desert refuge, which is a great home base from which to explore the wonders of the Anza-Borrego Desert. |
| William Heise County Park | One of our most beautiful parks, Heise lies amid 900 acres of mountain forests. The nearby town of Julian is a great place to visit. Heise offers 14 224-square feet comfortable cabins with insulation and moderate climate control, interior lighting, a table and chairs and a food pantry. Cabin beds are wood-framed and do not include mattresses/bedding. Also outside are a deck, picnic table and fire ring. |
Showers: All County campgrounds are equipped with coin-operated showers. Showers accept quarters and cost 50 cents for 4 minutes of shower time. Quarters may be obtained at the ranger stations.
