The Westbank trying to be Eastbank.
I used to go here a lot, because a guy a dated a few years back loved it, but I always found it WAY overpriced and the food wasn't that great. The staff was ok, but it looked like they couldn't deal with the amount of people who would come into the place.
If you want a more upscale dining feel, don't waste your time on this place. Drive the 6 minutes is takes to get uptown and pick a place on Magazine St. Trust me.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shercole K.New Orleans, LA3605031429Jan 2, 2011
I recently visited one of my favorite west bank spots for a business meeting and had a "as always" great experience. I usually get the yummy catfish but tried the Hawaiian burger which came with fried onion rings, pepper-jack cheese, and pineapple. It was a yummy yummy yummy burger. I truly enjoyed it and was well satisfied for the rest of the day after that.
One person tried the peach sweet tea and absolutely had a food-gasm. The tea is definitely no joke people, be careful and pace yourself after you drink it.
This is a great location on the Westbank for lunch, definitely try them out. I suggest going in the 11/12:30 range. Parking is definitely no issue here with much seating in the area.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Josh U.Metairie, LA1310834Sep 14, 2010
I'm not sure why there are so many mediocre reviews here. I've eaten here many times and don't remember any service issues other than an order getting mixed up once which was quickly taken care of by the waitress.
I usually go with the "Build Your Own Bowl" which allows you to pick a bowl type (noodle or rice), sauce and meat. Then you pick all of the veggies, eggs, etc that you want added to the bowl at a very clean salad bar style setup. Once you're done you hand the bowl over to a cook to prepare the meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 27, 2010
I like to get a blft which is bacon lettuce and fried green tomatoes and I like that I can get sweet potatoe fries but the service is almost never good here and any other food we have gotten here does not taste good. I once ordered a tropical burger and they forgot to put half the stuff on that was suppose to be on it. Not really worth it

Went for dinner with a friend and sat at a table in the far back corner for about 15 minutes watching servers pace back and forth and we NEVER received ANY service so we just left. Terrible service, was unable to try the food, but it isn't worth going back.

Great concept, but they fail on the execution. The food is decent, a little over priced. The service is mostly lazy teenagers. If they cleaned up their act a bit, it'll be a fine establishment.

Walked in on a slow Saturday afternoon, looking to sit down to a good early dinner with a friend of mine. Unfortunately, the service was slow, the portions were small and the food was plain bad.
My friend and I ordered a hummus appetizer - a big, sloppy puddle of still-frozen hummus with a few measly pita chips circled around it, and then moved on to the entree's. He had a basic cheeseburger with fries. And I ordered a Mediterranean shrimp wrap. It took at least 20 minutes for the food to arrive, and when it did, neither of us were impressed.
The shrimp wrap was a plain white tortilla, stuffed with ice-berg lettuce a few rubbery shrimp and unripe tomatoes. The cheeseburger was better, but didn't justify the wait or the cost (expect to pay $12-18 for a meal you could have ordered at Wendy's.)

Restaurant located in a VERY nice CA/FL style strip mall on Manhattan. Typical strip mall lunch place. Nothing fancy but the food was good. HAD TO try their special - the Sunrise Burger! Get this, a burger with a fried egg on top, as well as a strip of ham, plus a couple pieces of bacon and is topped with a tomato Chutney spread and a couple of slices of Swiss (I opted for cheddar instead). Comes with fries or another side. For $12. It was YUM O! (I didn't even attempt the fries!) Good service. Dined next to the ladies from the Red Hat Club. Too cute! Definitely recommend for lunch.

This place was better when they first opened. They took a few of their best dishes off of the menu. I do like their build-a-bowl low mein and fried rice, though. They are located in a new business park on Manhattan Boulevard that has a nice outdoor eating area overlooking a pond with a water fountain.
